Getting started
Meet the Book My Thrills team at the confirmed meeting point in Bir. From there, you will be transferred uphill to the Billing take-off site. Your tandem pilot will complete the safety briefing, equipment check, and take-off instructions before the flight.

- The activity duration depends on your selected package: 15-70 minutes.
- Operational Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
- The exact meeting point will be shared after booking confirmation.
- Participants aged 16-50 years are eligible and must book their own ticket. Those below 16 or above 50 are not permitted.
- Maximum weight limit: 90 kg per participant.
- Local transfers are provided from the meeting point to the take-off site and from the landing site back to the meeting point.
- The activity may be delayed or postponed due to weather. Rescheduling details will be provided in such cases.
- Not recommended for pregnant women over 3 months or those with major surgeries, broken bones, or chronic back/neck issues.
- Arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes before your scheduled slot.
- Follow all instructions from your certified pilot/instructor carefully.
- The instructor reserves the right to deny participation to anyone deemed unfit for the activity.
- Consumption of alcohol or heavy meals before or during the activity is strictly prohibited.
- Images are for representation only; actual experience may vary slightly depending on conditions.
- Carrying sharp objects, lighters, alcohol, knives, or large bags is strictly prohibited.
- Please avoid littering to help keep the destination clean.
- Valid ID proof such as Aadhaar, Passport, or Driver’s License is mandatory. PAN Card is not accepted.
- Comfortable sports shoes with grip. No slippers or sandals.
- Windproof jacket or warm layer depending on weather.
- Sunglasses and sunscreen for protection against glare.
- Water bottle and light snack if required.
- Valid ID proof for verification.
- Pen drive or enough smartphone storage to transfer your GoPro photos and videos after the flight.
- Transfer from the meeting point in Bir to the Billing take-off site.
- Safety briefing and pre-flight checks by your certified pilot.

Bir Billing is located in Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh. Bir is the main village and landing area, while Billing is the paragliding take-off site approximately 14 km uphill. The exact Book My Thrills meeting point will be shared after booking confirmation.
By Air
- Kangra/Gaggal Airport is the nearest major airport serving the Kangra region and is approximately 65–70 km from Bir by road.
- Taxis are available for onward travel towards Bir.
By Train
- Ahju is a nearby station on the Kangra Valley narrow-gauge railway and provides local rail connectivity to the Bir area.
- Joginder Nagar is approximately 16 km from Bir and is another useful rail/road access point.
- Pathankot is the major broad-gauge railhead for travellers arriving from other parts of India, with onward road or narrow-gauge connections towards the Kangra Valley.
By Road
- Bir is well connected by road through Baijnath, Palampur, Joginder Nagar, Dharamshala and other Kangra Valley towns.
- Bir is approximately 30 km from Palampur and around 16 km from Joginder Nagar.
- Buses and taxis operate throughout the region.
